GRACE COMMUNITY CHURCH

Community Hub Vision
Riverside Meadow, Kempston

Welcome to our website for our exciting vision for Riverside Meadow: a new, not-for-profit community hub, secured through an enabling development of new homes and set in a new attractive landscape on land at Cemetery Road, Kempston.

These proposals are being promoted by Grace Community Church, a locally based Church deeply rooted in the Kempston community.

The story so far

A planning application for a new Community Hub and Enabling housing development at Cemetery Road, Kempston was submitted to Bedford Borough Council on the 1st February 2024.

Grace would like to thank everyone who attended the consultation events in September and October 2021 and has engaged with us since, providing valuable local feedback.

While many who responded supported our vision, there were also a significant number who raised a range of concerns. This feedback has been analysed and has been influential in refining the proposals and adapting them to be more in line with your community aspirations.

Making you part of the conversation is important to us, so we have set out our response to the consultation feedback on the ‘You said, We did’ page of this website.

About Grace Community Church

In 2008, Grace relocated to our current meeting place at the Addison Centre in Kempston. Having outgrown this space, Grace now has a strategic vision to develop a new, not-for-profit community hub that enables us to expand our community outreach work.
